3Ten

What is 3Ten?

That’s a good question.  We came up with the name 3Ten because the basis for our summer staff ministry is found in 2 Timothy 3:10, which says:

“But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions,…”

Those 9 areas of a patterned lifestyle make up our emphasis with the 3Ten ministry at Word of Life Youth Camp.  We want to challenge our summer staff to be focused on their doctrine, purpose in life, spiritual fruit, and perseverance. 

How do you fit?

Word of Life Youth Camp is committed to the evangelism and discipleship of Canada’s youth…and we have a blast while doing it.  Among the crazy activities, intense competitions and life changing meetings our goal is to accomplish 3 things.  Here’s the message we share with our campers: God wants you to:1) Identify your Purpose, 2) Intensify your Walk and 3) Amplify your faith.  We take the same approach with our staff.  You will have a ton of fun and be challenged in your walk with God.

Identify your Purpose

3Ten will not only be an awesome summer of fun and ministry for you but also a time of intense spiritual growth as a Disciple of Christ.  We believe this is of utmost importance.  During the 7 weeks of camp you will systematically walk through a book of the Bible and learn how to study Scripture with a Bible Institute student.  Our goal is to know God better through His Word

Intensify your Walk

Here at WOLYC we are dedicated to a Biblical discipleship process to encourage and help you in your personal walk with God.  You will be paired up with a college-aged student who will personally challenge you through God’s Word.  We accomplish this in many ways: through exciting games and activities,  group meetings and as you live with this student.  Thus, your faith will be strengthened by the real-life application of God’s Word.

Amplify your Faith

The purpose of 3ten is to support the camper program and help develop key teen leadership for the local church.  This truly is a summer of ministry as you will see life change happen every week in camper meetings and as you serve in one of the various work areas.

There is a wide variety of work area opportunities:

-       Lifeguard                - Office                 - Special Opps                   - Food Services

-       House Keeping       - Bikes                   - Archery                           - High Ropes

You will be an essential element of our summer camp program without you we simply couldn’t share the gospel with the hundreds of kids that come every summer.
