What is the Word of Life Bible Institute?
What makes WOLBI unique? Two words: Life Change. We’re unique in the fact that our program extends past the classroom and into real life with hands-on ministry opportunities and the option of meeting regularly with a trained ‘Spiritual Life Coach’ to help you navigate your way through life’s tough decisions. We offer two different locations to choose from: Owen Sound, Ontario and Sherbrooke, Quebec.
Our one year post-secondary program is one of the best of its kind in Canada. We bring in some of the top teachers from across North America for specialized study in the Bible.
+ Student Life
You’ll make friendships that will challenge you in your relationship with Christ and last long after you leave campus. We also give students the option of meeting one-on-one with a trained ‘Spiritual Life Coach’ who will help you navigate your way through life’s highs and lows.
Whether it’s playing on a praise team, working with kids, or sharing the gospel with strangers, we give you practical training and hands-on experience that will challenge your ministry skills and prepare you for life outside of the Word of Life campus.

French Language School
In addition to our one year French Bible program, our campus in Sherbrooke, Quebec features two other programs for French language study.
+ French Language Program
We offer French classes at the beginner, intermediate, advanced and immersion levels. This program is primarily for anglophone missionaries desiring to serve the Lord in French speaking countries and other individuals who want to learn French in a Christian environment. It is very flexible depending upon your abilities in French, offering classes at the beginner, intermediate, advanced and immersion levels. No previous experience in French is required to participate in this program.

+ French Immersion and Biblical Studies Program
The Immersion program combines French classes in the language school with Bible classes in the Bible school. As the year progresses the student takes fewer and fewer French courses and more and more Bible courses. By the end of the year, the student should be functionally bilingual, as they will have become full participants in the French Bible program. We require that a student understand French at the intermediate level or higher to participate. This program is eleven months long like the Bible program and students can start in September or January.
