 Charlie was saved at a young age after attending Camp Hermosa near Goderich, Ontario. It was there that he first heard the clear Gospel of Jesus Christ and was saved shortly thereafter. While not steadily attending church as a child, it was at the age of 15, having moved out on his own, that Charlie started to faithfully attend a Word of Life Student Ministry in Waterloo, Ontario. During his years as a student, he was involved in many aspects of the Student Ministry including quizzing, preaching, serving on the Youth Executive and eventually becoming a junior leader with the youth group. After working for three years since high school, Charlie served on the 2003-2004 Word of Life Canada Impact Team, travelling across Canada ministering through skits, service, singing and speaking. It was during that year that Charlie began to feel a burden for the youth culture of Canada. In 2004 he completed Word of Life Missions in Training and was accepted to full-time Local Church Ministries staff, pending successful completion of one year at the Word of Life Bible Institute. He fulfilled those requirements when he graduated from the BI with High Honours in August of 2005. Raised by Christian parents in a wonderful home, Lindsey was saved as a young child after hearing the gospel during a mid-week kid’s club at her church. Lindsey enjoyed being very involved in her youth group and first heard of Word of Life by attending Snow Camp and having the Impact Team minister at her church. Lindsey worked at the WOL summer camp for four years and attended the Word of Life Bible Institute in 2003-2004. Lindsey currently works as a stay-at-home mom and a wedding/portrait photographer (Flickr stream: www.flickr.com/photos/charlieandlindsey). Charlie & Lindsey were married in May 2006 and welcomed their firstborn child, Caleb, into the world in June 2009. They are excited about the future of their ministry with Word of Life as they serve as Area Missionaries alongside the youth leaders and children's workers of Ontario and look forward to many young people coming to saving faith in Christ and being discipled to the image of Christ. Prayer Requests: - Please pray for the Lord to raise the sufficient financial support in order to achieve their support goal. They are currently at 85% of their support target.- Please pray for wisdom as adjustments and changes to the Ontario LCM event calendar are made for the 2010-2011 ministry year. - Please pray for Mike & SaraLynne Klomp as they prepare to join Charlie & Lindsey in Ontario in September 2010 to continue their training and begin their ministry as the Area Missionaries for Southern Ontario. - Please pray for the churches that will be bringing teenagers to the Ontario Super-bowl (www.wolsuperbowl.com) on Friday, November 5th. We want to see lives changed for Christ at this event!
