How much should youth ministry curriculum cost?

Supposing a youth pastor making around $10 an hour puts 2 hours of study, preparation, and development into each lesson he teaches (a low estimation), over the course of a year, the cost would come to around $1,000.

When your church registers for a Word of Life program, it can cost you 75% less than that total (only $249 per year for a 3 year registration). Each of our lessons are written by an experienced, active youth minister who ministers to churches and students of their own. The lessons are then taught to a group of 3 other writers and critiqued for doctrine, practicality, and cultural relevance. This process ensures that at least 20 hours of study, critique, and editing go into each lesson. You could pay someone $20 to work for 2 hours on a lesson, or you could get our curriculum and pay a little less than $5 for 20 hours of work on a lesson. Let your youth workers spend more time on relationship building and discipleship and less time sitting behind a desk typing up teaching notes and creating PowerPoints.
