Teens Involved

What Is It?

In 3 John 1:4 we read, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth." Teens Involved is an event Word of Life Student Ministries provides that will give you great joy as you see your students practice and proclaim the truth through individual and group participation. There are four groups or categories of involvement in areas of speaking, music, media, and quiz teams (quizzing on Student Lifelines lessons and Scripture memory verses) for each student.

PLEASE NOTE: There have been several key adjustments made to Teens Involved as it pertains to the guidelines and rules in the Teens Involved Leaders' Handbook for Canadian events. Please review the Canadian Addendum for all the details. These adjustments are now in effect as of the 2010-11 ministry year.

Southern Ontario Regional Registration Deadline: Friday, March 23, 2012

Starting in the 2010-2011 ministry year, Quiz Camp became the venue in which the requirement level for Regional Teens Involved is accomplished. In an effort to better streamline the flow of the day at Regional Teens Involved, a couple of key changes were made to this event:

• There will be two locations & dates for Regional Teens Involved: Central Ontario (Barrie; March 31, 2012) & Southern Ontario (Simcoe; April 21, 2012). PLEASE NOTE: There will still be one location for Regional Quizzing (formerly "Quiz Camp"). (Toronto; February 18, 2012)
• IMPORTANT... PLEASE NOTE: The Regional level requirements for Quiz Challenge and Quiz Blitz will now be completed during what has historically been a "practice & fellowship" day known as Quiz Camp. This day will now be referred to as "Regional Quizzing".
  
• With the new teaching modules in mind, the following are the requirements for each level of quizzing:
  • The Regional level quizzing requirements for both Quiz Challenge and Quiz Blitz will be:
    • The Student Life Basics lessons in the Student Lifelines
    • The lessons in modules one, two, three and four of the Student Lifelines
    • The verse cards in the current Scripture Memory Pak that coincide with the lessons in modules one, two, three and four of the Student Lifelines
  • The National level quizzing requirements for both Quiz Challenge and Quiz Blitz will be:
    • All previous material covered at Regional quizzing
    • The lessons in modules five, six and seven of the Student Lifelines
    • The verse cards in the current Scripture Memory Pak that coincide with the lessons in modules five and six of the Student Lifelines
    • The Current Issues lessons in the Student Lifelines

When Is It?

Regional Teens Involved is usually in March/April. Canadian National Teens Involved will be held in May.

This event only happens in Ontario.
