Micaiah & Abbie Snider

Micaiah was born and raised in a loving Christian home. He realized from a young age that he is a sinner in need of a saviour and at the age of 4 he accepted the good news of the gospel and is committed to living a life serving God. Micaiah has always been active, serving in any area possible, whether helping in children’s ministry, or helping with maintenance of the Church, or counselling at camp, he is happy to help wherever he can. Following high school, he spent 1 year at the Bible Institute and accepted a 3-year internship position and is super grateful to be a part of the team, helping mainly in student life and preaching at Dean’s Chapels. More importantly, Micaiah is most excited to be able to serve God practically every day, investing in the lives of young men and helping them grow in their faith.

Abbie grew up around Word of Life, so from a young age, she heard a lot about Jesus. She was saved at the age of five during camp when she heard the Gospel very clearly presented. She attended a Christian school up until high school and was baptized at the age of 8 at her home Church in Waterloo. It wasn’t until high school that her faith was really challenged in a public school system. She made the decision to work on staff at Word of Life for two summers, which challenged her in a lot of areas and made her realize her sin and the need to reach young people for Christ! In 2019 she attended Recharge with her youth group, and she made the decision to dedicate herself to Christ! After this decision, she knew that she wanted to attend Word of Life Bible Institute. She not only works in Customer Service but she also oversees our Alumni and volunteers for camp! She looks forward to reaching the next generation for Christ!

Micaiah and Abbie met years ago at the ages of 4 and 5 when Abbie’s family started attending First Baptist Church in Waterloo. They grew up going to the same youth group and went to high school together. They got engaged in February 2022 and were married August 20, 2022. Micaiah and Abbie love to adventure together, whether it’s disc golfing, hiking, rock climbing, or doing ministry together! They both graduated from the Word of Life Bible Institute in 2021 and enjoy doing ministry together. They also oversee the youth ministry at Olivet Baptist Church in Meaford, and have loved connecting with the youth in our local area.”
