What is Summer Camp?
Word of Life Youth Camp offers your favorite camp activities with our beloved program that’s full of summer fun! Our trusted staff have been a part of what keeps campers coming back year after year. We have something for every camper, from our interactive bible teaching, red and blue team competition, high energy camp games, and exciting elective activities that allow campers to learn new skills, get creative, and work together. Campers will have a summer to remember with the memories they make!

Teen / Kids Camp Information
- This is an overnight summer camp
- Program: worship, teaching, slip and slide, sports, array of team building activities, team competition, and so much more
- Arrival time is Sunday between 2:00 – 4:00pm
- Departure time is on Friday at 7:00pm
- Register before May 1 to qualify for the early bird price of $475 / week
- Activities for an additonal cost
- Art T-Shirt – $10.00 (all ages)
- Paintball – $25.00 (all ages)
- Extra Paintball Hopper – $5.00 (all ages)
Day Camp Information
- Program: worship, teaching, slip and slide, sports, array of team building activities, team competition, etc.
- Arrival is Monday – Friday between 8:30-9:00 am
- Departure is Monday – Friday between 4:15-4:45 pm
- Owen Sound pick-up location maybe be available upon request

What is Word of Life Youth Camp?
What kind of things do you teach?
We teach the Bible as the holy and inspired Word of God. All of our teaching times are age appropriate and chosen based on the needs of the campers that attend our camp. Click here to see our statement of faith.
Where is the nearest professional health care facility?
We are fortunate enough to be located 13 minutes from both the Meaford and Owen Sound hospitals. Parents and guardians are always notified if their camper is brought to a hospital for professional care.
Who are your medical providers on staff?
Because of our close proximity to the professional health care facilities, we are not required to have an RN on our staff.
Our medical person on staff at the very minimum will have certification in CPR and First Aid.
Who administers my child’s medication while at camp?
Our medical staff person administers all medication and keeps records of everything that is administered.
On registration day, we obtain written consent from the guardian to administer Tylenol, Ibuprofen and Gravol when appropriately needed.
All medication must be handed in upon arrival at registration.
What is the Snack Shack and how much money should I put toward it?
Campers can purchase snacks and other merchandise like t-shirts, hoodies, and Word of Life Quiet Time Diaries at the Snack Shack.
The Snack Shack is open every afternoon and most evenings. The typical amount put toward the Snack Shack is between $15 – $35. Parents can also place daily spending limits.
We strongly advise depositing spending money at registration. Each day the campers can go to the Snack Shack and purchase something from the money deposited to their tab.
Any remaining balance is returned on the last day of camp during checkout.

How can parents get in touch with campers?
Send your child(ren) mail by sending your letter to camp@wol.ca. Letters will be delivered at meal time.
What are the cabin facilities like and what kind of bedding should I bring?
Where are you located?
We recommend using Google Maps as the most reliable GPS for finding our location. Our address is 617796 Grey Road 18, Owen Sound, Ontario, N4K 5W4.
Our campus is located just 15 minutes east of Owen Sound on Grey Road 18, and 2.5 hours northwest from Toronto. We are 3 km south of highway 26 on Grey Road 18.
From Highway 10/6 South, turn right at the lights in Rockford onto Grey Road 18. Follow the road to the end, then take a left up the hill. Word of Life will be on your left in 1.5km.
If you are coming from Highway 26 east, drive past Meaford, ON for about 15 minutes until you see the sign for Grey Road 18 on the left. Take a left turn and continue on Grey 18 for 3 km until you arrive at Word of Life on the right.
Do you cater to food allergies and special diets?
Yes, we do. Special arrangements for dietary needs can be accommodated if we are notified ahead of time.
