Young Adults rETREAT

Being a young adult can often feel like you are caught in the middle. In these years, we are living in so many different stages of life. From college student to working professional, single or married or growing a family, there no longer exists a clear course for life and everything seems to be changing.

 As young adults, we are learning to navigate new challenges, changes, and different walks of life among our peers as we attempt to remain rooted in our relationship with God. In this season of life, it can be difficult to balance all that life is throwing at you while growing to be a spiritual leader and role model for others.

 Our sessions in the Scriptures will focus our attention upon a young adult who encountered the ups-and-downs in life that many before us have faced. Join with us as we contemplate some of those issues – from family dysfunctionality, misunderstandings, corruption, temptation, personal purity, prosperity, reconciliation, and more. Together we will examine how we can best pursue being the witness and role model which God intended for us to be in this specific stage of life.

Pastor Snell grew up in New Brunswick in the home of a godly Pastor. In 1969 he was introduced to the ministry of Word of Life which has positively impacted his life for these many years. From 1972-1976 he attended the University of Guelph where he received an Honours BA in sociology and history. Between 1977 and 1980 he studied at London Baptist Bible College and Seminary graduating with an MDiv. Degree. In August of 1980 he was married to Joanne in Meaford, ON. He has pastored since 1980 in southern Ontario at Emmanuel Bible Church in Simcoe and First Baptist Church in Waterloo.   The Snell’s have 4 married daughters and 11 wonderful grandchildren. Pastor Snell has been privileged to travel worldwide to places like Bolivia, Israel and the Philippines in service for the Lord. He has spoken often at conferences, retreats and Bible Colleges. He serves as a member of the Word of Life Canada Board of Directors as well as the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry in Canada. He was the interim pastor at Bethel Baptist in Fergus from 2020 until 2025 and is currently serving in the same role at Central Baptist Church in Brantford.
